Jenny worries a lot. About starting second grade, going into the ocean, taking a math test, doing back walkovers-the list is endless. All while her younger sister seems not to have a care in the world. Kids at Jenny's school tease her, pointing and yelling "Jittery Jenny, Jittery Jenny." It's so embarrassing. Jenny wants to stop worrying, face her fears, and learn how to calm down, but it's really hard. Her mom and her teacher try to help, but it's a suggestion from her beloved grandfather that turns out to be just the solution she's looking for.
